Terms of Accepting the booking – please read

The booking is accepted based on the info provided on the transport instructions

If this is an Import collection the booking needs to be cleared / released to our order on the day of sending your booking instructions to enable us to book collection slots where this is required

If the delivery is cartons that have been palletised, we will pallet exchange with the relevant collection point and expect the same on delivery. Upon delivery our drivers will request pallet exchange at the time of booking in, if the delivery point refuses to hand back exchange we will log a call with you saying there is no exchange pallets to be had and send an e mail. You will have the duration of the delivery taking place or 15 mins to either confirm we will get pallets back at that point (returning later is not an option) or the pallets purchased at £9.50 per pallet. If not resolved after 15 minutes we will leave and charge for the pallets if we haven’t been given them. There will be some cases that maybe a case by case scenario and can be discussed at the time if deemed necessary

If the booking is an Export collection and no collection reference is supplied, we will request via a call and email at the collection location whilst we are on site, we will wait 15 minutes to resolve. If not supplied within 15 minutes we will leave with a lost journey charged or agree to go back later if possible, which will be discussed on a case by case basis.

Each delivery and collection will be subject to a timely manner for the vehicle to be dealt with. For cargo up to 15 cube – we will allow 30 minutes free and for cargo 15.001 + we will allow 60 minutes free before waiting times is applicable at £45 per hour, part thereof.

A Return fee equal to the original delivery rate will be applicable for any deliveries refused due to no fault of Youngs Transport.
